These Terms & Conditions set out the basis on which we supply products and services to you through our website. Please read them carefully before placing any order. By using our website or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

I. Terms & Conditions of Sale

  • Products - While we strive to ensure that all product descriptions and images are accurate, slight variations in color, size, or finish may occur due to screen differences or manufacturing variations.
  • Placing an Order – By placing an order on our website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts.
  • Order Acceptance – Orders are accepted at our discretion. You will receive an order confirmation email once your order has been processed.
  • Pricing – All prices are listed in GBP and include VAT where applicable. Prices and promotions may change without notice.
  • Payment – We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal, and any other payment methods listed on our checkout page. Payment is taken at the time of order. You confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.
  • Shipping & Delivery – We are currently shipping in the UK only. Delivery times will be stated at checkout. While we make every effort to meet stated delivery times, these are estimates and may vary. We are not responsible for delays caused by courier services or customs.
  • Returns & Refunds – You have the right to return items within 14 days of delivery, provided they are unused, in their original packaging, and in saleable condition. Certain bespoke or personalised items may be exempt from returns unless faulty. If your item arrived damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photo evidence. 
  • Order Cancellations - You may cancel your order, should you change your mind within 24 hours. Please contact us via the Contact Us form on the website
  • Product Use & Care - Please follow all care instructions provided with your items. We are not liable for damages resulting from:
    • Dishwasher or microwave misuse
    • Exposure to extreme temperatures
    • Improper handling

II. Website Terms of Use (Limited Licence)

We grant you a limited, revocable, and non-exclusive licence to access and make personal use of our website.

You may not:

  • Modify, copy, or download any part of the website except for personal use.
  • Use our content for commercial purposes without written consent.
  • Use automated systems (robots, spiders, crawlers) to access the site.
  • Misrepresent your relationship with us.

You may create a hyperlink to our homepage for personal, non-commercial use, provided it does not:

  • Mislead users about your relationship with us.
  • Contain content that is offensive, obscene, or misleading.
  • Use our trademarks without written permission.

We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission at any time.

IV. Promotions & Discounts

From time to time, we may offer promotional codes, discounts, or special offers.

Unless stated otherwise:

  • Offers are valid on full-price, in-stock items only.
  • Promotional codes must be entered at checkout before completing your purchase.
  • Discounts cannot be used in conjunction with other offers or applied retrospectively.
  • Minimum spend thresholds must be met in a single transaction.
  • Expiry dates apply as stated in the promotional material.

V. Competitions

  • Open to UK residents aged 18 or over (unless otherwise stated).
  • Employees of Motia Living and their immediate families are not eligible.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Winners will be selected at random and notified via the contact details provided.
  • We reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
  • By entering, you agree to participate in reasonable promotional activity if required.

VI. Social Media Content Use

We love seeing Motia Living products in your home. Occasionally, we may ask to feature your photos or videos.

By replying with #YESMOTIA, you agree that:

  • We may use your content on our website, social media, emails, and marketing materials.
  • We may edit or adapt your content for marketing purposes.
  • You own the rights to the content and it does not infringe any third-party rights.

VII. Storage Policy (if applicable)

If you request us to hold your order for delivery at a later date:

  • Orders over £5,000 – Storage fee of 1% of order value per month (including VAT).
  • Orders £5,000 or less – Flat fee of £50 per month.
  • Maximum storage period is 6 months from the original scheduled delivery date.
  • Storage fees are non-refundable.

VIII. Liability

  • We are not liable for any loss or damage caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
  • Our total liability to you will not exceed the total price paid for the product(s) in question.
  • Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.

IX. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

X. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our site constitutes your agreement to the revised terms.
